Swallowing Therapy

Swallowing difficulty (Dysphagia) is common with head and neck cancer patients after radiation, neurological traumas, and people diagnosed with dementia. An individualized therapy plan will be established after an evaluation to determine recommendations for dysphagia rehabilitation. Call Neurogenix regarding an evaluation if you or your loved one is experiencing the following symptoms:

  • Aspiration pneumonia

  •  Difficulty chewing or swallowing

  •  Coughing or choking

  • Sensation of food being “stuck”

  • Wet (gurgle) voice sound

  • Food pocketing in the mouth
